It is as per the government law. Since the fishermen set up nets in the lake government banned all kinds of engine-driven boats during this period. Also, it is very dangerous to cruise houseboat at night. The Alleppey Backwater is interconnected with a lot of small canals. The people living around travel through these places in their small rowboats which is their travel medium. The visibility will be almost zero at night. The water transport department line boats have permission to operate through a particular route.
How many people accompany in the houseboat?
There would be 3 crew on the houseboat. The captain, Oarsmen, and a chef.

How long the houseboat travel?
Normally the house boat starts to travel at 12 noon. The guest can check-in between 11:30 AM and 12 PM. The boat will travel till 5:30 PM and anchor for the night stay in between there be a 1 hour stop for the lunch. The trip will restart at 08:00 AM and ends at 09:00 AM
Do the houseboat package included pick up and drop?
No the package not inclusive of pick up and drop, it is only for the houseboat. These can be arranged on request for an extra payment.
